On Saturday, from 10:45-noon in the Washington Lecture Hall at the Hotel Roanoke, I'll be giving a talk on why journalists should be using blogs and social media tools. This won't just be me geeking out -- there are solid journalistic and career reasons why any journalists should start using this stuff on a regular basis.

This session will be especially good for anyone who's either new to social media, unsure , skeptical, or jaded. I plan to get right to the "so what," and to figure out which of these tools is best for you -- and for the communities you want to engage.
